Coworking Spaces: Why They Are Gaining Popularity

“According to the Global Coworking Survey, it is estimated that there are currently more than 19,000 coworking spaces operating worldwide providing working space for about 1.7 million people”.

More industries than ever before have recently converted to remote work. Regus, Industrious, and WeWork are leading the way in changing and improving hybrid work by implementing an aspect of community. Working from home can not only have endless distractions, but lack of social interaction, and a blurred work-life balance. Coworking spaces are often repurposed buildings given a fresh new life, offering a cost-friendly space with various amenities, abilities to network, high speed wi-fi, and variability in your work environment.

Whether you’re a freelancer, or work for a corporate office, shared office spaces have something to offer for everyone.  Many are drawn to coworking spaces for their cost savings (overhead and amenities add up at the end of the day!) and freedom from traditional lease commitments. Most workshare environments operate on a month-to-month basis and have different levels of membership to accommodate whatever your business may need. Members can join community events that make it easy to meet others, spark conversations, and build cross-industry connections.

Working in a shared professional environment has been shown to have a positive psychological impact and can contribute a sense of motivation and self-worth. Remote working can be great for flexibility in your workday, so if you get tired of your spare bedroom, give a coworking space a try!
